When to apply

You can apply up to six months before travel and should aim to submit 6–8 weeks ahead. Appointments fill quickly in peak season, so start early.

The core documents

A valid passport, confirmed flights and hotels, travel insurance (min €30,000 cover), bank statements, ITR, a cover letter and your itinerary. Which country's consulate you apply to depends on where you'll spend the most nights.
